This weekend in Philadelphia will be a heavy one. Ride to Skate 6 gathers a brotherhood of bikers and skaters in a ride to FDR where madness will ensue. There’s live bands, vendors and raffles, proceeds go toward keeping the DIY dream alive down at FDR. Paint, concrete and general maintenance that is needed to keep the stoke alive. Come out for the Show Class Mag release party at Gunner’s Run on Saturday night and meet up Sunday for some shredage.

Duane Pitre is a modern composer and frequent collaborator with the Alien Workshop. And he used to ride for them back in 1990. They’ve teamed up to celebrate the release of his Feel Free album w/a limited board offering. Greg Hunt has put together some nice visuals for this release as well. Check em.

“Freehand Jobs brings together like minded artists to transform Pandemic gallery into a small town. Building with found and refuse materials, this group will work together to recreate different panoramas of a small, hand-made village. The show will emphasize the simple use of basic materials, hand-drawn signage, and original artwork. Visitors are invited to take a step away from the overwhelming streets of New York and walk into a new landscape, built by a community of artists making a living with their hands in this day and age. Ranging from sign painters, to illustrators, sculptors and more. Each artist will be using their skills to contribute a few pieces and help create an indoor landscape that is unique, and serves as a reminder of the beauty that the artist can provide to our communities.”

Join us tomorrow, April 27th @ Paradigm Gallery where we will celebrate the opening of our good friend Yis Goodwin’s show titled ”Next Week’s Adventure”. We’re stoked to have watched Yis’s endless hustle over the last 5 years and are constantly impressed with his work.
